When you press the key, the joint should bend or slightly roll while staying put on the rest, no shift at all. In my experience, the Mark III is the most powerful and clearest of all FG models. Very direct sound. I prefer something a little more complex, so I favor the Mark IV over the Mark III. And I prefer something slightly darker, so I prefer the Mark II over the Mark IV.According to Sylvie at SYOS, “The finishing of a 3D printed mouthpiece is not as clean as a hard rubber or metal piece. What you noticed on the side of the beak is the printer seam, all our mouthpieces have one. It does not alter the sound. Big excellent for a wide variety of playing situations, however I prefer (and am looking for) and great STM with a lot of 'zing' to the sound.
