Having everyone on a realm be your faction means ALOT more players. Whereas the 50/50 split could make a big realm feel like a low pop one. I'm not sure of the status of the big pvp realms but I'm pretty sure the top ones like sargeras, Illidan and tichondrius are all weighted one way or the other as well.(again pvpers can chime in here). That makes no sense. It is an RP server. WrA is great for both factions. Wyrmrest Accord has a good Horde population, Alliance is so so. Dalaran wow has outdated inferior scripts and low pop, while Cromiecraft is still in its lvling phase (they release 10 by 10 lvls every few months or so) with sub 1k pop at best and by now is considered a meme in the community. It has hundreds of people playing Hardcore every day, which is a playstyle that is addon-supported but not officially supported by Blizzard. Wobling Goblin is a lesser-known PVE server (progressing through the original trilogy, currently in Vanilla) based out of Oceania. Population is definitely low, however a single character can learn all professions in the game (blacksmithing, alchemy, skinning, etc.) instead of having a cap. Khaz'goroth has people on it but the chances of finding anyone to do Mythic raiding with on either faction are absolutely non-existent.
